Laura Wright, the amazing author of hot paranormal romance series Mark of the Vampire, is here to talk to us today. *Squeel and dance with happiness!* Her latest book in the series, ETERNAL CAPTIVE, has just been released- so go and buy it!

1. Why do you lovebeing a writer?

I lovecreating a world, first and foremost: the setting, the time period, thecharacters within. My fantasy come to life. I’m pretty sure I spent most of myelementary school years looking out the window and preparing for this careerpathJ

2. You started offwriting contemporary romance for Harlequin. What drew you to writing aParanormal Romance series (which I am very grateful for)? Awww, thanks girl! That makes so happy – you have noidea! I LOVED writing Desires for Harlequin. I write in a trimmed sort of way,not a lot of superfluous information and backstory, and I love alpha males andhooks, so my writing style and tastes ran perfectly with that line. But one dayI had this idea – this bigger idea about 3 vampire brothers, and a BreedingMale and a world – and Desire couldn’t take it on. And frankly, I couldn’t NOTtake it on. I was in love and I had to write it. I didn’t set out to writeparanormal. I set out to write the Roman brothers, who happened to be vampiresJ And what do you love about the genre? I love everything about the genre. It’s complete andtotal freedom of imagination. Anything goes in paranormal. It’s why I lovereading it too!

3. Lucian is theultimate mouthy bad-boy and the book currently out is his story. Was itdifficult to write? And what makes him such a sexy hero? Lucian. I adore him. I’ve adored him and writing him fromthe get go. But here’s the rub. In HUNGER and KISS I got to write the bad boy,the loveable asshole if you will and it was all fun and games, but in CAPTIVE Iwas forced to see beyond the façade, and forced to make him see it to. It washard and I frankly, I cried a lot. I had to make Lucian face not only hisbehavior but why he came to be like that – and God… make him face his future. Itwas brutal at times…

4. I love therelationship between the brothers, part good-humored teasing and 100% loyalty.How integral is that relationship to the series? Yes!100% loyal always and forever. Isn’t that how brothers are or should be? In myfantasy world it is. For me, family is my number one theme. It’s everything. Itgets you through the hell and makes you enjoy the heaven a thousand times more.It’s the truest of all bonds, and the one that when the day is done and themoney is counted and the power is over, means the most at our core as humans.Or as vampiresJ

5. That e-novellaabout Gray story was such a tease! I know. God, Iknow. Here’s the thing. I really wanted to show what was happening in Gray’slife (and in Dillon’s) while the others stories were taking place. I couldn’tdo that in Gray’s actual book. It would’ve weighed the story down. I know somereaders loved it and some were frustrated by it. And now I am dying formore. Please tell us, does the future hold a story about Gray and can you tellus anything about it? Yes! Gray’s book, ETERNALBEAST, is coming out in August!! Wow, that was an incredibly surprising storyto write. It almost felt as though I were channeling those 2 characters (Grayand D) as I wrote it. It may very well be my favorite story to date!

Theproblem with my books is that every damn story is a spoiler onto itself. Yes, Iknow I suckJ But Iwill say this. Eternal Beast is a total game changer. The entire world Icreated it turned on its ear.

6. Excluding thebrothers and their heroines, who is your favorite character and why?

Oooo,awesome question!! I’m going to say Cruen. In Eternal Beast, we find out moreabout Cruen, his past – his connection with Sara and Gray’s mother. And histrue identity. I love him. How’s that for CrypticJ I would also love toexplore Evans more.. Oh, god, and Synjon.. course I think of him as a brother..or an honorary oneJ

7. War seems to be onthe horizon between the Pures and the Impures. Damnright! J The brothers don’t want to have to choose,but do we finally get to see them decide and pick a side? Yes. It’s been coming for awhile. The brothers ran fromthat whole life, and in doing so, the choice – or the side of their breed. Butin Eternal Beast, there’s no turning away anymore. Lord, look who Alexander ismated to – and Impure. And if they everhave a balas.. he/she will be an Impure too.

8. If you couldbecome any paranormal creature, including a vampire, werewolf or the otherusuals, what would you pick? And why? A werewolf. Nodoubt. I think they’re sexy as hellJ

9. If you couldsomehow communicate with yourself just before you started writing the firstbook in the Mark of the Vampire series, what would you say? You mean, knowing what I know now? Hmmm.. I would say“Laura, start a MOTV bible immediately!! So you have everyone’s stats at yourfingertips!” J

10. And finally, forreaders who want to know a little bit more about Lucian: Would Lucian pickblood or sex? Sex. No doubt. He has no problemletting himself starveJ

Night hunting or a night lazing about at home? Hunting. But for sex, not blood. Thingis, that prey would never run from Luca.

Tattoos or piercings? Neither. Unless he did them himself. He doesn’t wantanyone putting their ‘mark’ on him.

Being mean or being charming? Ah, I believe thinks being mean IS being charming.

Bronwynor his brothers? Well now, isn’t that the eternalquestion. Love or Family. But don’t theyfuse? Don’t they become one in the same? Your love becomes your family and viceversa. I would say then that Lucian would die for his family. Every one of them.

REVIEW:I feel like I've been waiting for Lucian's story forever! And I was really scared that this book would disappoint, but I should have had more faith because it definitely didn't! In fact, it is my favourite book in the series so far and there are a million reasons why!

Lucian as a hero is crass, crude, rude, unpredictable, temperamental and so damn hot, I wish he was real! He puts the bad in bad boy-hell I am going to go as far as calling him an asshole, but somehow we manage not to hate Lucian but to fall completely in love with him as does our heroine! I loved all the interactions with him and Bronwyn in the other books and things get a lot more steamier in this book. The romance is sexy and damn-right erotic at times that I thought the book would just burn in my hands- thank god I chose to read this in my bedroom and not on the train like I usually do!

What I really loved was the fact that Lucian didn't suddenly take a drastic change! I hate when the beast turns into a handsome prince, just because he was misunderstood *rolls eyes*. Why can't the beast just be an asshole who acts like an asshole who remains an asshole- albeit a much friendlier asshole? (*WOW* I didn't think I could say asshole soo many times in one sentence! Got to be a record right?) For that reason I felt like Bronwyn and Lucian's relationship was quite realistic and it was really great to read about them getting closer and closer, it literally made me want to swoon!

And the action! Oh my god, just when you think things can't get anymore action-packed and complicated it does! Laura Wright leaves us on a huge cliff-hanger that has been panting and waiting eagerly for the next book.

Overall, this book is a definite must-read! Gorgeously dark, sensual, filled with action and mystery, you will not be disappointed. I really hope Gray and Dillion's story is next- that e-novella of them was such a tease!

Review: Filled with humour, sexual tension, high-level action and a very, very sexy agent: what more can a girl as for? In this book, all the boxes have definitely been checked.

Jordan is our independent, sensual heroine who has grown up surrounded by wealth. But it doesn't mean she is spoiled...oh no she is just use to getting her own way. And paired up with Nick who is use to getting his own way too- let's just say with the sparks that fly off these two, they could hold their own firework party. It was such a delicious ride. From the investigation itself to reading about the interactions between theses two characters, I just wanted to devour it all. I loved every second of it! There manages to be a great blend between romance and action and I could not put this book down!

Overall, although this is the second book you don't have to read the first to understand this one. I am so looking forward to the next!

Review: I was so excited about this book that I actually put off reading it so I didn't finish it too quickly. Alas, I saw the error of my ways and finally read the damn book and oh boy-oh boy, thank god I did! Sexy, violent, violently sexy, action-packed, with some dark sensual twists- this book had it all and then some! Although Lothaire isn't my favourite book out of all the IAD Books (Demon from the dark will always hold that place in my heart- very, very sexy Malkom more particularly) but there are several reasons why this book was amazing and why Kresley Cole is one of my favourite authors of all time!

Ellie was definitely a bad-ass heroine. Some of the things she does in this book (NO SPOILERS) is absolutely-fricking-amazing! She made me laugh, cry, be astounded by her sheer will-power and strength and she didn't just match Lothaire, she brought him to heel. I have always wondered who would be able to capture and conquer the heart of the ultimate bad-boy Lothaire and Ellie is a great edition to the Heroine hall-of-fame. Lothaire as the hero of the book was everything I thought he would be: uncompromising, an overbearing overlord, smug, destructive, sexy-as-hell, sinful, basically more of a bastard (sorry for the language) more than anything else. And I loved the fact that although Ellie brought out the sweeter side of him, the beast still remained a beast at the end but just with better manners.

Is it me or is every IAD relationship violent, mental and closely resembles a death-con match? Because man-oh-man, this book was filled with a lot of bloody violence- and I loved every second of it. Is that sick of me? That I actually enjoyed all the blade-wielding scenes. *Mentally shrugs* Oh well.

In terms of the plot, besides the whole Lothaire and Ellie relationship, we didn't get as much as what was happening with everyone else and the ascension as we usually do. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I felt at parts that this book was gearing-up for the bigger event that is going to happen in the next book- and the major tease at the end of Lothaire definitely confirmed that!

Overall, Kresley Cole as usually did an amazing job of creating one crazy-ass, sexy book to read. Did I forget to mention the X-rated sex scenes in this book?! Oh-my-god, some of it was definitely erotica level! Why do I have to wait so long for the next book?

Review: Firstly let me start by saying that if you have not read this series- why the hell not? Very sexy, bad-ass men who shape shift and save the world...and they completely love their women! So yeah, get reading, like yesterday. Phew, now that that is out the way, let me tell you about all the reasons why this book is definitely my favourite in the series so far (P.S it is the 6th book in the series)!

Hawke is hot! Kind, sweet, intelligent and he can fly! I have loved him every single book and I loved him even more in this book! He is the perfect hero: tortured but loveable, kind but not a doormat, strong but protective. *Sigh* Faith is one lucky girl...but Faith herself was a complete surprise. In the beginning of the book, she is very vulnerable, nice but quite waif-like. Now don't get me wrong, I loved her but by the end of the book I was screaming HELL YES- now this is what a heroine is meant to be like! The relationship was a really nice, sensual and sexual, exciting and lovely, build-up that just made me shed a few happy tears. Definitely the best HEA.

Plot-wise, you are in for quite a few surprises. The action in this book was incredible. It begins quite slow, building up the relationships but when it hits the middle the action just kept going and going and going. Also, every book I find it really fascinating to read about the relationships between the feral warriors who really act as brothers. In this book we get some really nice moments between them and it really made me wish that I was living in that darn testosterone-filled house! How amazing would it be!

Overall, Loved, Loved, Loved this book and I cannot wait until the next one! When is it coming out dear Pamela Palmer? I don't know how much longer I can wait! (P.S I really hope Wulfe story is next, all the side-plot involving him in this book was such a tease!)

REVIEW: Time-travelling hot, sexy boy who goes back to save his girlfriend- say what? That was my reaction when I first came across this book and I really hoped, when I first started reading it, that it would live up to its potential. And for me, it definitely did!

I don't think I've read a lot of YA books in the point of view of the boy, which seems really strange now that I think about it. But what I loved about Jackson as the hero is the fact that most of the time he acted like a teenager and he messed up- and I mean he messed up a lot. But it was great to read and the book is filled with action and movements but there are some really nice moments when it slows down and we get to see the relationship with Holly and Jackson.

Holly and Jackson's relationship was really nice and enjoyable but I don't know about Holly as a character. She is great, but she never makes it out of her role as 'the girlfriend', she doesn't seem to be anything else beyond that, which can't of frustrated me because I wanted her to step up and be a man! Yeah.... but on a better note, Jackson's powers made up for absolutely everything- did I mention that he could time-travel?

The one thing that I found really strange and which is never answered in the books is: why is set in 2009? Maybe it's just me, but I thought that would be significant or something but it kind-of felt like 2009 was literally 2012, if you understand what I am saying... No? *Ahem* Then lets just move along.

Overall, I really enjoyed the fact that it was different to a lot of other YA books out there at the moment. Ignoring the cliched moments in the book (which it definitely had), it has a great set of characters, heart-pounding action and my absolute favourite, paranormal. So I am definitely going to be waiting for the next book by Ms. Julie Cross.

Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

REVIEW: Let me begin by saying that I hate, hate, absolutely hate Love triangles and this forever-lasting trend of love triangles in YA books (that was presumably started by stupid Twilight)! And that is my rant over...at least for now. So although I knew as soon as Unearthly ended that this book would pick right up with yet another love-triangle, I still began to read this book.

Clara as a heroine is definitely not irritating but she acts like a teenage girl with all her indecisiveness and her contradictory and selfish actions. But for some strange reason, she is also great to read because she is believable and good as well and she clearly cares for the people around her. She also has some great moments in Hallowed where she really steps up and acts more mature than her age.

I do understand the need for the love triangle. Unlike other YA books, there was a point to all of this and Cynthia Hand made a really interesting case for why Clara should pick either boys. Of course this wasn't the only focus of the book, something major happened in it as well but as usual, if you are expecting a fast-paced book, this isn't it. The plot moves quite slowly at times and characterisation is clearly the most important thing and it is done amazingly well.

This book broke my heart. That is all I can say.

Overall, I thought the book was a really good book, with a really soft and engaging narrative and some really compelling action. However I really hoped that for once the guy I liked would be the one who would succeed. I am still going to cross my fingers for the next one, but I am not going to hold my breath.

So now I'm going to tell you a little about the lords and let you know why I think you

should vote for them and there sexy butts. :)

Torin keeper of disease,he is 6'5' with shoulder length white hair and
sexy green eyes.. he has a butterfly tattoo on his stomach and he all
ways wears long black gloves because he cant touch anyone
because his touch can be deadly.Hasn't been lucky enough of
finding his mate yet but I know of lots of women who would gladly
take him. His chosen weapons are unknown/ a big kept secret
within the lords.

Aeron keeper of Wraith, a massive 6'6' with cropped brown hair. he has sexy violet eyes that make you melt. as you can see he has a butterfly tattoo in the middle of his back. He is one of the lucky lords to of found his mate, his mate is Olivia and she is an angel set with the task to bring him joy. His chosen weapons would be anything he can get his hands on.

Lucien keeper of Death again a massive 6'6' but he has black shoulder length hair. He has mismatched eyes one brown
(normal eye) and one blue ( believed to allow him to see
into the spiritual world). his butterfly tattoo is on his
upper left shoulder, front of chest. He is one of the lucky
lords who has found his mate. His mate is Anya Goddess of
Anarchy. His weapon of choice is knives and beware of
poisoned tips.

Maddox keeper of violence standing at a height of 6'4', he has yet black hair and his eyes are a violet but glow red when he is angry. All so when he is angry he gets a skeletal face visible through his skin. His tattoo is on his left shoulder, wrapping around to his back. Maddox like nothing better then to fight with his hands. Paris keeper of promiscuity, mm the demon of sex. He stands at a very high 6'8' making him one of the tallest lords. his hair is varying shades of brown and black but he has the bluest eyes that heat you up.His butterfly tattoo is on his lower back and he is known as the most physically appealing of all the lords. If Paris doesn't get sex every day then he weakens. he once had a mate but he ended up loosing her. His favourite weapon would be a sword.

Sabin keeper of doubt 6'7'. he has brown hair with golden brown eyes. His

tattoo is on his right ribcage and waist. He wears a neclace that belong to his dead friend. He likes to use most weapons but he all so likes to use his harpy

bride. He useshis demon to whisper in to the minds of any one in reach. He has managed to find his mate. Gwen is a harpy and is as fierce as Sabin.

Gideon keeper of lies, at the height of 6'3' he is one of the shortest lords.his hair is dyed blue and his eyes are blue but kohl- rimmed. His tattoo is on his right thigh and he has multiple piercings and his appearane is general goth look. again he is one of the lords that doesnt mind what weapon he uses. he is unable to tell the truth without experiencing pain.he is one of the lords who has a mate her name is Scarlet and she all so is a lord and she carries the demon of Nightmares.

Amun the keeper of secrets, height 6'6' brown hair and brown eyes, his tattoo is on his right calf .and his skin is dark. he preferrers weapons with an exotic nature. poor Amun choses not to speak because when he does people secrets come out and he cant control them. He has a mate called Haidee, she was once a hunter.

Strider keeper of defeat he is 6'5' and has blonde hair and blue eyes . his butterfly tattoo is on his left hip and he has a birth mark on his buttocks, no one knows how he has it because he was created not born. again like some of the other lords Strider will use most thing as a weapon. he is unable to loose at anything or his demon gives him so much pain he is in bed for days. He is all so known as the witty lord. Strider has found his mate in a harpy called Kaia

Kane keeper of disaster 6'4' his hair is a mixture of brown black and gold and is eyes are hazel. His butterfly tattoo is on his right hip. he has nothing else to distinguish him from the others. His favourite weapons are rifles and other long range weaponary. Kane cant move without a mini disaster to happen. Kane has not yet found his mate but again I know lots of women who would like to take him on.

William not a lord but as good as, he doesnt have the butterfly tattoo but he

has just as much strength and passion as the rest of the guys in this series.

he has long dark hair and he is as tall as them all. and it is to be belived that

he is the devils brother and he made the four horse men of the

apocalypse.

They care about each other on a whole different level that makes their readers love them even more. They wear black leather (SEXY!), carry daggers to cause damage to their enemies (I so want one), and carry all kinds of guns to get the job done! I mean can't you just see them wearing a gun holster up under that leather. Mmmmm! They love their women and love them hard! Nothing gets between them and their mate and can I just say that those ladies are very, very lucky. *waggles brows*

Because they are all so loveable in their own way, it makes it hard to choose a favorite. I do have my favorites, but I love them all! They battle Vampires for crying-out-loud! Every book is an adventure and they somehow get themselves into the craziest situations (I don't want to say it's Claire's fault, but that girl is seriously a magnet for trouble!) and somehow they always manage to get themselves out of it! Rock on MV BOYS!!

REVIEW: I must admit that anything that includes the paranormal and romance in it, sign me on board! So you can imagine how many different 'Vampire' books I have read over the years and a lot of them aren't really worth a mention... but this definitely is! Sexy, dark, with a crime mystery right in the middle- definitely not your average run-of-the-mill Paranormal.

Nix, as a heroine, is tough, kick-ass and really gorgeous to read. I liked the fact that she was complex and vulnerable but also knew how to take care of herself. But... Tobias! Two words- Absolutely amazing! I think what I found sexy about him was the fact that he was so devoted to the law and being good! I mean I love my bad-boys *rolls eyes, who doesn't?* but at the end of the day for me, it's the guy who you know will do everything to protect you and won't mess you around that I want to go home to. And that is exactly who Tobias is. The relationship between him and Nix was difficult to read at times because they have so much history between them that needs to enfold and then I didn't think enough happened in the present between them to completely satisfy me. Except the things that did happen, boy-oh-boy are you in for a ride! Hot, passionate and down-right dirty at times * SPOILER thinking of a particular scene that involves a lot of danger and... some other things as well*.

I also really liked the plot, the unusual history of the paranormals in the story really intrigued me. However I have no idea where the story is going to go now but it's all about the journey.

Overall, a book you will definitely enjoy and I can't wait to get my hands on the second book! So thanks netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for ARC!

REVIEW: I absolutely adore the Demonica series and have adored Sin ever since she first stepped onto the page. But for some strange reason I have been putting off reading this book- probably because I know if I finish it, then there is no more Demonica books left to devour! Except... Larissa Ione has a new series that include the yummy, gorgeous, drool-a-licious Demonica boys in them, so all is right in the world again!

Sin, as a heroine, is complicated, vulnerable, bad-ass, bitchy with some added mean to it, and absolutely amazing. I love my heroines being strong characters who can hold their own but also has vulnerabilities to them that can make us relate to them as humans... except Sin isn't human- she's a Seminus demon who needs sex to survive! And that is besides the point... suffice to say, Sin is my favourite heroine out there. And the romance between her and Con? Off-the-fricking-charts. Sexy, sweet, passionate, soothing, it just got more and more complicated as you read the book and more and more layers of these two complex characters were revealed. It was amazing to read. And Con? What can I say? Other than, this bad-boy needs to find a way to come to my house and stay there- like prompto.

Overall, this book made me really excited to read the Lords of Deliverance series, which I have been lucky enough to receive a copy of from Grand Central Publishing- so thanks in advance! If you haven't read the series yet, I would definitely recommend reading the Demonica series, Larissa Ione is a fricking genius at what she does!

He's a different sort of hero, meaning that he seems to be like the cocky, "I-don't-give-an-eff-about-anything" sort of guy yet, somewhere along the line he's been hurt...like really bad. And to me, those sort of guys make my heart ache so bad. I just wanna wrap them in my tiny embrace and hold onto them forevah. I'm not saying that's how Seth is exactly because we haven't seen much about him but from what we've read about him thus far, I've sorta come to that conclusion...ish.

But yes, Seth's quirkiness, charisma, attitude, remarks, etc. make him a very sexy hero because you just don't know what to expect from him. He'll definitely keep you on your toes! :) Plus, he's carefree and when you're wound up so tight you're close to exploding, Seth will be sure to help you have fun and just be!

Seth is the sexiest hero OF. ALL. TIME. because:

first of all, who doesn't love a guy who just goes with the flow of life?
his humor will most likely have you laughing your eyes out until you cry and develop a six-pack
he's fluent in Sarcasm, I mean, WIN right there
like Aiden, he'll do anything to make sure you're safe, alive, and breathing ;)

She has agreed to speak to me today and I deny any claims that I forced her in anyway to come and talk to me. She came to me of her own accord (*ahem* if you can claim kidnapping and making them complicit in a book robbery as 'free-will' then we are all on the same page...)

1.What do you love about beinga writer?

Nothaving to get dressed up in the morning! Seriously, writing is a meditativeprocess that calms me down. I get a bit squirrely if I go too long without it.There’s just so much going on in my head! Writing provides a way for me to workthrough my fears and explore my dreams. In writing Revealing Eden, I hit the trifecta: I dealt with my deep fearsabout the loss of our natural environment, my conflicted feelings about beauty,and my longing for love!

2. Do you see yourself asactress/filmmaker or a writer?

Firstand foremost, I have always been a storyteller. In fact, I co-wrote all of thefilms in which I acted! Before that, I acted in cable shows that I alsoco-wrote. I can’t not write. I’m verygrateful to be in a position, finally, where I’m writing fiction full time.

3. The world of coals, pearls,ambers, is so unique. How much fun was it world-building and how much energywent into it?

Bigfun, and a little scary too. I wrestled with some of the details of Eden’spost-apocalyptic world. For example, creating racial epithets, rather thanusing existing ones that are already deeply ingrained in our culture, seemed thebest way of turning long-standing prejudices upside down. I played withdifferent ideas, and even used animal names at one point, but they also carriedtoo much baggage. Then the idea of using simple, earthy things to represent thedifferent races struck me. The words pearl, coal, tiger’s eye, amber, andcotton all represent beautiful natural things, just as all races are equallybeautiful. Of course, these invented racial terms also tie into theenvironmental theme, and initially create mystery, too. That was a good day’swork.

4. Dystopian young-adult booksseem to be in fashion now; what attracted you to the genre?

Honestly,I write from the inside out, meaning I didn’t consciously pick the dystopiangenre. This was simply the story that I wanted to—no, needed to tell. Ifanything, I set out to write a compelling romance. Eden Newman doesn’t thinksshe’s beautiful. She’s an ugly Pearl who will die unless she soon finds a mate.If only someone would see the Real Eden, she would be safe. Deep down, doesn’teach of us hope someone will see who we really are, and love us anyway?Romantic stories like Eden’s, especially told against such odds, remind us (andme, too!) that love is real.

5. If you could have takenanything in that backpack Eden has to the jungle, what would you take?

Didn’tshe mention snacks? I would like to think there were several dark chocolatebars tucked inside the backpack. There is no way I could survive a day, letalone in a jungle, without my daily dose of dark chocolate.

6. What makes Bramford a sexyhero?

Thejuxtaposition between what he unexpectedly loses—his human form, as well as hisempire—and the grace with which he accepts these new challenges makes himheroic. Despite the deep, deadly secret he harbors, he puts his life on theline to protect those he loves. And he doesn’t whine about it, either. Then, asthe Jaguar Man, his savage, beastly power contrasts a new vulnerability abouthis appearance, something that Eden has dealt with all her life, and whichsoftens his formidable character. Of course, there’s no mistaking how hotBramford is with his sleek feline looks, muscular body and gleaming cat-eyes!I’d tremble too if he roared at me.

7. Excluding Eden andBramford, who is your favourite character and why?

Ilove the purely logical way in which Eden’s father views the world. Emotiondoesn’t cloud his scientific reasoning, until it does, and then, it’sheartbreaking. Of course, his obsession with his work, and his inability toconvey emotion, only increases Eden’s need for his approval. Perhaps, myrelationship with my father was not so different because I found greatsatisfaction in resolving theirs.

8. What is in the future for'Save the Pearls'- any hints on the next book?

In Save The Pearls Part Two, AdaptingEden, the past comes back to haunt Eden and Bramford. If Eden thought lifeand love challenged her before, the stakes ratchet even higher. She must fightto save those she loves against impossible odds, testing herself beyond herlimits—in love and physical strength—while the countdown to humanity’sextinction continues. Ultimately, her journey takes her from oppressed,fearful girl to an alpha babe, or in this case, a Jaguar Babe. I’ll tell you, being in her beastly head is quite athrilling ride!

9. Would Eden choose heels or converses? Converse,no laces.

Review: A modern, dystopian feel to Beauty and the Beast- except Eden isn't really like Beauty and Bramford is definitely not a complete beast. There are sooo many reasons why I absolutely adored this book:

Eden, as a heroine, is a pretty normal girl in a really messed-up situation. I think what I love about her, which other people seemed to hate, is that she acted like how a normal girl would- pretty self-absorbed. I believed her in her emotions and when she did or though something stupid, I could totally believe me doing the exact same thing. The romance in the book was tense, sensual and really frustrating at times, because I wanted it to move even faster because you could see how much they cared about each other. But I really loved it...and I must say that Bramford is definitely one sexy beast! He growls, comforts, destroys monsters (*AHEM* I don't mean literally, or maybe I do? Read the book and you'll see) and he is intelligent as well! I wonder where I can get me own manufactured beast, any hints Victoria?

There was another character who really intrigued me and it was surprisingly the father. Her father annoyed and amused me at the exact same time. He had some of THE funniest lines (here is a little SPOILER: 'the pheromone signals between you and Bramford are now quite evident') HAHA.

Plot-wise, I found the world entrancing, epic and really beautiful to read. The story-line just sucked me in and kept me wanting more, most of the time. I do admit, at times I did get lost but Victoria Foyt also has the wonderful gifted talent of explaining scientific stuff and not managing to lose me completely in all that gibberish. (No offence- my best friends all happen to speak gibberish fluently and continuously speak it, without me standing there like a total idiot...and I am going off the point!)

Overall, fast-paced action, beautifully written and I can't wait to find out what happens next and to read more yummy things between Eden and Bramford!

Evangeline. She is soloving and caring, yet she is a complete bad-ass (which you'll see more of inbooks two and three.)

3. You have taken adifferent approach to Vampires, what is it about this genre that appeals to youand maybe to other writers?

Since PNR is the normalgenre that I read, it was of course the only genre that I could ever imaginewriting. As they say, "You are what you eat." Well...I write what Iread! ;)

4. I am so excitedabout 'Roses and Thorns' which is Christian and Rose's back story. can you tellus a little bit about what's it going to feature in their story? Like maybe herrelationship with her mum?

Absolutely. Roses andThorns will cover the three months that Christian and Rose openly dated beforeher mom's death, and yes–it will include her mother, Loraine, as well. You'llget to see the interaction between Rose and Loraine, Rose and Christian, and Loraineand Terrance. Lots of back-story goodies!

5. The book is filledwith lots of dark secrets, as soon as I think I've figured one thing out, oneof the characters say or do something that completely throws me. How much funwas it creating The Rose Trilogy and do you have any projects planned for thefuture?

Yay! It's so good to hearthat because the twists and turns of this story is what I love the most.Because you're right–just when you think things are going one way they end upsomeplace else, and that was a surprise even to me.

REVIEW:

Vampires, a hot sweet guy, a not-so-sweet heroine and lots and lots of heavy make-out scenes? Yep, Tish Thawer found my favourite ingredients and she definitely knows how to put them together.

Rose, as a heroine, is pretty bad-ass. She swears, is completely fearless and has a temper problem so not your average princess then. At times I didn't like her and at times, her reactions just didn't seem realistic, but she definitely kept me entertained. Some of the things she said, definitely qualified as laugh-out-loud moments.
Christian is an absolute angel and I really want to know where I can get one of him. By angel, of course, I mean a guy who swears, drinks blood for a living and works at a bar...but we won't dwell on that. He is totally, head of fangs in love and lust with her and it shows completely *sigh*. I enjoyed the fact that we got a sense of him, through both his own perspective and through Rose's. I also liked the fact that we weren't bombarded with all his past history (which would be a ridiculous amount, considering her has lived for 602 years! Talk about dating an older guy.)

Plot-wise, I was gripped. Every time I thought I had figured out something, something new would be added and even though it is not completely original (What is any more? My philosophical musing of the day...), I enjoyed the suspense of it all. I did however also feel like we skipped a few key scenes and at times I was left wondering if we were ever going to see some of their past. But I have discovered that Tish Thawer is writing a prequel about Christian and Rose! So it is all good.

Overall, I think Paranormal YA Romance is starting with a bang! Hehehe, get it 'bang', it rhymes with 'fang'...okay then never mind.

Review: I received this book as an ARC and I am so happy that I did! A heart-warming romance, kick-ass powers, a tender-hearted brooding vampire and so many other yummy characters? Can I say 'please madam I would like some more?' Yes I can and I definitely do. Let me tell you what makes this an awesome book!

Karissa as a heroine is both bad-ass, vulnerable, totally bad-ass and equally parts sex-kitten and innocent. She was just such a great character to read and there was never a single moment I didn't believe in her and her reactions. The romance between her and Roland (which is a bit of a weird name? *PS I am an English Major and then first thing that popped into my mind was the poem: the song of Roland. So weird that it actually featured in the book! *SPOILERS*) was just incredibly sexy and just *sigh* really sweet.

But I think what made this book not just good but great is that the plot and the build-up was absolutely amazingly. I have been completely left panting for the next book in the series and what is next to come! And will some of the questions rattling in my brain actually be answered? Although the plot-line isn't completely unique, we have your typical good v. evil scenario (and I think I've read another book with Paladins in them) but Tes Hilaire manages to put her own stamp on it with unique characters with unique powers in an edge-of-your-seat action.

Overall, fantastic opening to a great new paranormal romance! Fingers-crossed that the next book is about Valin and Gabby- I would just die of happiness. (Read the book and you will see what I mean!)

Review: I have to say from the beginning- I am now a huge fan of Laura Wright. Intense, sensual and filled with strong, hot, kick-ass Vampires- definitely my type of book and let me tell you why:

Sarah, as a heroine, was addictive to read. She got you straight from the first word, because you could easily empathise with her and relate to her. Her survival instinct (although at times questionable) was really realistic. But the main important thing...is the relationship between her and Alexander.

Alexander *sigh*. He just made me melt! Protective, rough, sexy, passionate, sexy- did I say that already? The sexual tension between Sarah and him was incredible and heart-warming. The way they connected and fell in love was just *sigh*. I loved how the plot advanced and we got to learn more about their background, about the Vampires and the other characters who are as much important to the series. And that brings me to my two favourite topics...

Nicholas and Lucien. Hot, brooding, argumentative, dangerous and definitely YUMMY! I cannot wait for theirs books! This one is definitely a must-read!

Review: I have been in love with myths, legends and fairytales since I was a little kid, so imagine my excitement when I discovered this book. It checked all the boxes for me... well initially. This book at times was definitely tragic, mesmerising and romantic but, although the way Aimee Carter used the Greek myths was sort-of fresh, I don't know if it completely worked for me. Lets just say there were good and bad points of this book.

Kate, as a heroine, was the heart of the story and straight away I felt an emotional connection with her. She was a very good believable heroine and the romance between her and Henry was slow, passionate and at times sweet. I adored reading about her falling in love, even though we didn't get to see as much of the process as I would have liked. (*SPOILER* Their late nights were so cute! But... a bit naughty at times, hehe. My kind of thing!)

I think the bad point of the story comes from the way the Gods and Goddesses were portrayed. I'm not going to tell you how and who they were because that would be spoiling a huge part of the story. But I will tell you this, they were just not GOD-LIKE for me. They're meant to be powerful and scary...and they just weren't. So that was a disappointment. We never even got to see much of that Hades-side of Henry and I really hope we get to see that in the next book.

Overall, I thought it was a really easy book to read and I don't mind reading the next book and hoping it gets a lot better!

Review: I have been seeing this gorgeous cover everywhere and I have been too busy to pick it up.. but I finally have and I must say- Oh My God! Beautiful inside and out. This is possibly one of the best angel books I have ever read. It was engrossing, captivating and just simply unearthly!

The book starts off completely differently to any other Young Adult books in this genre. Firstly, although she moves to a new town (typical), this is the first time the heroine moves for a reason that isn't because her parents have died or divorced and she has been shipped off. It is a very small point.. but it's just what hooked me from the first page- originality.
Clara is a great heroine. She is both accepting and, kind-of uneasy, about having angel-blood. There are moments in the novel where I absolutely love her, sympathise with her (*Spoiler* I love the episode with her hair- I can definitely relate, once turned my own red!) and be annoyed with her. But her voice is what moves the story, as well as her relationships with the other characters in the book.

I adored her relationship with her mother and brother- it was such a nice thing to see! And her different but solid friendships with Wendy and Angela. But the person in the book who stole my heart was... Tucker! I have just been signed onto TEAM TUCKER.
A hot outdoor kind-of cowboy, who is both charming, a gentleman and occasionally rude with a dimple! *Sighs* How can I possibly NOT love him? The moments between Clara and Tucker where the absolute best- compelling, forbidden romance that seemed like young love but was also very strong. I just.... *Sigh*.
Christian was the other love interest- and I liked him. Hot jock, kind of comes to mind when I think of him- although he skis, not football... anyway he just didn't hold a flame to Tucker.

Overall, I thought the plot was done very well and I can't wait to see what happens next with these angels and where the romance will be heading. Oooh I am so happy to have found this book, try it and you definitely won't be disappointed.

Review: A YA book about a post-apocalyptic world with a delicious cover? Sign me up. That was my initial thought when I first read the blurb and saw the book. Ahem, now having read it, my thoughts have changed drastically, here is what I think:

Lauren DeStefano manages to paint beautiful imagery and her sentences flow effortlessly into each other. However there is also something quite claustrophobic about the world. I know, I know, Rhine is locked away in a mansion- it's meant to be claustrophobic, but I don't know... I just don't believe completely in the world she had created. Inventive, dangerous and gorgeously described but believable? Eh, it's definitely not 100% there yet.
Rhine was a very cool and resourceful heroine though- not Katniss from Hunger Games cool, resourceful kind-of-level, but still she had some great moments (*SPOILER* Loved her violent thoughts, I was praying that they would come true as well).

The romance between Gabriel and Rhine is almost non-existent (*there were some nice scenes- not enough though!) but I did feel she laid some good groundwork for something to happen between them in the future. Oh- and don't get me started on her confusing and slightly disturbing relationship with her husband Linden *Shivers*.

Overall, I think the characters were the most gripping, Lauren DeStefano has an incredible way of making you empathise with each and every character. However although it has a lot of potential, it fell a bit flat for me. Hopefully the next book will explain some much needed answers!

Review: So I decided the other day to begin reading Gena Showalter's other series: The Alien Huntress series, because I absolutely love Lords of The Underworld.

I think the most gripping aspect of the book was Mia Snow, our kick-ass heroine, who doesn't hesitate to put men, both human and alien, into their place. I just loved how tough she was. If your feel like reading a book where the woman is the main focus- then this is your book. But in terms of the romance....

It just wasn't an all-consuming romance for me. I love books that feature amazing heroines and gripping plot-lines but the romance has to be top-notch at the same time. I mean that's not too much to ask for, right? The attraction between Mia and Kyrrin is definitely there and the scene in the snow *Spoiler* is just mouth-watering, but the romance lacked something. I just don't feel there was enough effort put into their storyline, we didn't really get an idea of how they fitted as a couple.

That said, the plot had me at the edge of my seat. Alien killer? Futuristic world? Danger all around? Tick, tick and tick again.

Overall, this series hasn't come close to the amazing level that the Lords of the Underworld has reached. Sorry, Gena Showalter but I will keep reading because I do think she has created an intriguing world.

Review: So I have been off the YA Scene for a while, mainly because I have been sick of reading the same old tragic romances. I decided to read this one day because my sister had just left it lying on the shelf and let me tell you, I am really glad I decided to pick this one up!

Dark, believable, rich with imagery, romantic and just simply gorgeous- And that's only the adjectives I can think of on the top of my head. Kate is a great heroine and probably one of my favourite YA heroine of all time. Her grief for her parents death can be both silent and consuming. Her attraction to mysterious Vincent isn't sudden as it is in most YA books, it is believable, sweet and quite reserved at times. What I absolutely adored about the romance between the two is that it was believable. She didn't tumble into love-at-first-sight with him; she was cautious and acted smart, unlike some TSTL Heroines (Too Stupid Too Live). And when she finally discovered his secret, she did what any normal person would do- she backed off. But of course we wouldn't have a story if it ended that way, now would we?

Vincent, on the other hand, was a great hot and mysterious hero. However at times, (maybe it was just me), I felt like he was a bit too mysterious. I just couldn't connect with him enough. I liked him but I don't love him yet. Hopefully the next book in the series, which I can't wait for, will take care of that.

I think the icing on the cake was the setting. Paris- absolutely-fricking-gorgeous-Paris! It just made me want to jump onto a plane and go there. The descriptions of the museums and beautiful cafes were just incredible. For a début book, Amy Plum did amazing well.

Now she knows her life is in danger. What Navarro knows is that she’s his mate and that the breeding and training that created him is being peeled away in his desperation to claim a woman that refuses to be claimed.

He has her body. She craves his touch. And as the breeds converge the past will rise up to haunt Navarro in ways he never expected.

Review: Okay so Lora Leigh's Breeds, although paranormal, definitely fall into the category of erotica. I mean holy cow- some of the sex scenes she comes up with? Definitely X-rated. I am though a hardcore fan of the Breed series. However saying that... I don't think this was one of her best books. It was a decent book.

I enjoyed the friendship between Cassie and Mica, the former being a character we have grown up over the series and has genuinely become quite a main character. I also liked the hot steamy relationship between Mica and Navarro, a hot recessive Wolf Breed in his prime. And I mean hot with a capital H. The sex scenes were explosive and just as *ahem* detailed as Lora Leigh's usual books. However for me I think it lacked that romantic factor it usually had in her other series.

I mean we had the typical plot of these two main characters, who are obviously attracted to each other and have come feelings for each other but of course the guy is fighting it with everything he has. (*FYI* there is more of a twist but this just my summed up version of it) The book began with us seeing more tender feelings emerging between the two but as soon as Navarro began to back off, he backed off and it kinda of just became about sex. So in that case the romance let me down.

Plot wise- we finally get to see more about Philip Brandenmore, who has been one of the main antagonist in the series. The whole ending confused me at times and I really hope the writer recaps in the next book.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed but if you haven't read any of the books in this series yet I would definitely recommend it. But be warned- they are very explicit and have very hot, panting scenes that will sizzle your brain.

Review: Dark Pleasures indeed! Garreth is known as the Dark Prince for a very good reason- a hot-blooded Lykae in his prime.The attraction between him and Lucia is explosive- and I mean that literally as lightning rains down. I couldn't get enough of their interactions- if you have liked/enjoyed/loved/obsessed over the rest of the Immortal after Dark series you will not be disappointed.

I think what I enjoy the most about Kresley Cole's work is that she is never predictable and therefore never boring. Even though we have already experienced the Lykae and the Valkyrie in other books, we always experience something fresh and new in each book. I found Garreth very hot but at the same time he could be incredibly sweet (*SPOILER* When he wiped her tears away- ah! I just completely melted).
Lucia as a heroine was very believable and I loved reading about her succumbing to the attraction between the Lykae and her- it was just absolutely explosive.
